The choice of timber is largely a personal one, we make sure that the timber you choose is the best available and is suitable for the task required. How long will my decking last? |

Pressure treated timber has a typical life expectancy of 25 years or more as long as you take care to periodically clean and treat the surface with a water repellent.

Yes but as your deck was designed specifically for that home it is unlikely it will look as good after re-location. Decking is a very good selling point and is likely to have increased the value of your home by at least the purchase cost.

Is the deck safe to walk on when it’s wet. |

We offer grooved & smooth boards and both have excellent anti-slip properties, but the deck must be kept clean and free from moss & algae. Please be aware all surfaces can be potentially slippery under severe weather conditions. |

Is the timber used Eco-friendly.

The majority of timber used in the construction of our decks is supplied from sustainable managed forests as recommended by the [ FSC ] but some hardwoods cannot be guaranteed.

Obviously wood is a combustible material and caution should be exercised, for example barbecues should not be left unattended and generally common sense should be the order of the day.
